Just. Move. Forward.

Just. Move. Forward.

“In the sea of despair that is Ukraine, Chef José Andrés and his World Central Kitchen are a lifeline. They have been on the ground there for months, feeding thousands of Ukrainians whose lives have been upended by the war.” –CBSNews.com

Several weeks ago, this story presented by CBS Sunday Morning resonated with me both as a human being and a business owner. I loved José Andrés’ “boots on the ground” philosophy as he leads the charge to provide food and nourishment in the face of disaster.

Andrés says, “Every hour of planning is an hour you are missing. You will only be able to move left—or right—if you are moving forward.”

This is a good reminder for us all. So often, we hedge on addressing an urgent need because we feel that we have to have a “plan” in place.

Chef Andrés is making a difference in the world during a crisis, and his message is clear. Sure, planning is essential in our day-to-day lives. But when a critical need or situation arises, his key message is to move forward and get the job done.

Thankfully, most of us are not directly affected by natural catastrophes and war zones. However, there’s a message here:

Just. Move. Forward.

  • Has that brochure been sitting on your desk for six months because you are unsure of your unique selling points?
  • Is your website on hold because you aren’t sure how to present yourself?
  • Is your social media stagnant because you need to ensure that your message completely represents your brand?

Get Started and Put Yourself Out There.

You can always update, edit, or redirect your message. But, you can’t move right or left without moving forward.

Check out this amazing interview for yourself. Ron Howard’s pretty cool too! https://cbsn.ws/3PS4DKG
